James Minor Ministries
Born in Natchez, Mississippi, James M. Minor was a church boy. His life has always been dedicated to the church. With no violent history, his prevailing testament to God’s Amazing Grace is sure to reach and impact the lives of many. In 1982 at Copiah Lincoln Junior College, James met an incredible woman that would change his life forever, Alisa Fitzgerald. By the summer of 1984 they were married. They have two children, Christopher & Jamesila; a daughter- in- law, Jessica, and wonderful granddaughter, Finley Christina.
In 1988 the family relocated to Atlanta, GA. The search for a church to call home began in 1991. After experiencing the family oriented worship service at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, readily they became active leaders in the Body of Christ. November 3, 1996 changed the course of the Minors’ lives again drastically. After several years of serving as Chairman of the Deacon Board James surrendered to the mandate on his life. Astonishingly one month later under the leadership of Bishop C.D. Gearing Jr. he was licensed to preach. Immediately he found opportunity to exercise his ministry by joining forces with the church’s Prison Ministry, New Members Orientation, and One Flesh Ministry (Married Couples) where he ministered and provided spiritual counseling.
While for some there may be difficulty in the catapult from Deacon to Minister to Pastor, but for James Minor it was the ordained transitions for his life. On June 8, 1996 he founded True Christ Outreach Ministries in Norcross, GA.
Pastor Minor pressed upon his vision to teach the Word in a manner that all will be able to understand, knowing that without doubt that the Will of God for all is to have abundant life on earth and to have everlasting life. As a result of his diligence to the work in the ministry; whole-heartedly charismatic preaching and teaching, in December 2011, he was earned an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from The School of the Great Commission Seminary & Bible Institute of Georgia. Now ready to take the Good News to the nation, he is prepared, equipped, and well-appointed.
